Dentyl Dual Action Icy Cherry CPC Mouthwash - 500ml

I've always had a bit of a negative towards mouthwashes which might do wondrous things but slaughter tastebuds for hours on end, My breath may smell fresh and my teeth might be grateful but I'm living with a foul taste in my mouth for ages. So first surprise: this is the nicest tasting mouthwash I've used. Ok, it's not so great the morning after but a quick rinse restores normality and you won't be kept awake by a horrid taste. Secondly, it's quite convincing. As you spit it out you can - fascinatingly - see the bits in the sink (they don't look disgusting) which allegedly is the bad stuff it's removed from your teeth. Now, in this post-truth world, I'm far more sceptical than I once was. So yes, there are bits - but I can't prove they're what the manufacturer say they are. But I could do one small experiment, so I did; I used the mouthwash in the middle of the evening before cleaning. And yes, there were quite a lot more bits in the basin. So that's supportive at least. I would actually buy this stuff again. Except.... At the moment, the price listed is silly and way higher than the other Dentyl flavours. And supermarkets are cheaper too - for other flavours. At the moment, if you want the cherry flavour you'll be paying a lot more. And I'm not sure it's worth that. However, as it's been sent out for review, I am thinking it's a new flavour and therefore the price may soon match. In which case, consider this a 5 star review.

I'm not usually worried by artificial flavours at all. But this has a very potent chemical smell to me. Like strong disinfectant. So much so, when I used it, my brain's immediate reaction was, "This should not be in my mouth." It also stinks to high heaven. I got a bit on my hand and it stank for minutes on end. It made the sink stink, and the chemical smell even filtered throughout the room for several minutes. I like the lemon one from the same brand - this cherry one I would not recommend to people sensitive to chemical flavour.

I got this for my daughters to encourage thorough oral hygiene and they love the flavour.

I've always been a fan of Dentyl. The cherry mouthwash isn't as clove-y as some of their range. You always really can see "the results in the sink" which is why I like using this product. Easy to use - shake it up to activate it and swill as per any brand. Doesn't cause staining, in your mouth or the sink. Great product.
